Shilpi Dabral

Shilpi Dabral is an Indian visual artist, who draws inspiration from her time living in the UAE. She is known for her emotionally resonant and spiritually rich artworks.

Her artistic journey blossomed in Dubai’s vibrant multicultural environment, where she rediscovered her creative voice and evolved into a recognized presence in both local and international art scenes.

Her textured acrylic artworks, layered with geometric patterns and abstract elements, reflect a deep connection to nature, spirituality, and personal growth. Shilpi’s passion for storytelling through visual forms is fueled by her travels, life experiences, and a lifelong dedication to creative self-expression.

As a child, I found joy in expressing myself through art, a passion that has shaped my journey. Inspired by the  happiness I see around me; I've always aimed to share that joy with others. I view art as a means of self-expression,  it is a unique way for others to view the world, its grandeur and the little things alike through my eyes. I wish to  bring out the beauty in the mundane and spread positivity and joy to the world. 

My art is a reflection of nature's mysteries, my travels, and my experiences. breaking traditional perspectives to  create unique compositions. Through my work, I seek to capture life's essence, blending form, color, and emotions.  Each canvas is an invitation—a visual journey that resonates with the soul, celebrating the beauty of existence and  the boundless possibilities of human expression.

I have adopted geometric abstraction as one of my art styles because it represents versatility of small geometric  shapes and patterns, which when come together collectively create brilliant art. Acrylic happens to be my favorite  medium, though experimenting with different types of textures, mix media & water colors always excites me.

I firmly believe in the inherent potential of art to bring about positive change in the world. My artistic vision goes  beyond personal expression; it is a beacon of hope and connection for diverse audiences. Through my art, I strive to  impact society positively, viewing it as a powerful medium that bridges gaps and inspires collective understanding
